Meet the Union:
As the strong voice for over 15,000 carpenters across the State of New York from Montauk to Buffalo, the Empire State Regional Council of Carpenters is dedicated to the advancement of our workforce, helping them to secure fair wages, a safe workplace and a quality way of life for our members and their families.

Our organization is an affiliate of the United States Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC) and the New York City District Council of Carpenters who represent the five boroughs of New York City. Together, we are the forces striving for the betterment of the carpentry workforce across the State of New York.

Our Mission:
The goal of the Empire State Regional Council of Carpenters is to promote and protect the interest of our members while elevating the ethical, intellectual and social conditions of all working men and women, encourage apprenticeship and a higher standard of skill, assist in securing employment, and endorse and maintain the highest standards of safety. We are also dedicated to developing, improving and enforcing the program and standards of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), reducing daily labor hours, securing adequate pay, and protecting the health and retirement of our members and their families through health and personal benefits.

Serving Our Workforce:
Beyond our efforts in safety and education, the Empire State Regional Council of Carpenters takes great pride in guaranteeing our workers a secure workplace, fair wages and benefits, stability for their families and a strong sense of optimism and hopefulness for the future. Through strong advocacy and direct action, our efforts focus on eliminating exploitative and hazardous conditions, helping each member of our represented trades achieve health and wellness at work and in their lives beyond the jobsite.
